Foods You Should Never Eat in A Plane


We all know that there are some airplane rules that we should follow but we must also be aware of the fact that a plane travel also has unwritten rules that you should follow. One of these rules is to avoid certain types of food to make sure that you will not feel sick through the entire flight. With that in mind, here are some foods that you must avoid:
  • Eggs
We all love eggs. If you have not eaten any breakfast before you go on your flight, then it is most likely that you would crave for some while on board. There are some people who would try to save money by packing hard boiled eggs for their flight. While this may seem like a good idea, it isn’t. Why? Well, that is because the scent of a hard boiled egg can certainly turn off the other passengers in the plane.
  • Tuna salad or sandwich
We all like to think that tuna is a healthy dish and it is. However, this is one food that you should shy away from when you are on board. This is because of the strong smell that it gives off. No matter how much you love tuna sandwich or salad, please muster all your willpower to avoid bringing some during your flight.
  • Soups
Many people think that the best way to calm down their nerves is to consume soup. While it may do great wonders in keeping your tummy feeling full and warm, the combination of turbulence and plenty of soup in your tummy is not something you would want. Lie low on the soup if you wish to avoid vomiting or feeling nauseous during the flight. In the event that you really want soup, it is best that you practice moderate consumption and you must not forget to bring a pack of saltine crackers to help calm your tummy.
  • Foods rich in Garlic
Most of us love to eat foods with plenty of garlic. While garlic can tickle your taste buds, it won’t be beneficial for your breath. If you wish to make friends in the plane and if you do not want to be alienated by the other passengers, please leave the garlic-rich foods at home. This is also true with foods that have plenty of onions in them.
You will be flying at high altitudes for long hours so it is recommended that you watch your diet and the kinds of food you consume. If you wish to feel comfortable and stay healthy during your plane trip, it is recommended that you shy away from consuming the foods that are mentioned above.
