Best and Worst Seasons to Fly

Many people prefer a staycation rather than a fabulous vacation during peak seasons where everything is expensive and you’ll be rubbing elbows with tourists alike in most destinations.
Worst Seasons to Fly
Spring Break. Most college and universities have spring break starting from the late of February until the beginning of April. While school-age children and family vacations occur around Easter which falls at the same months. During this time, fares to beaches and traditional family destinations like Caribbean and Florida are relatively high. Spring break peak travel dates depends on destination.
Christmas and New Year’s. Well, it’s certainly the most wonderful time of the year where every employee files for a Yuletide Season vacation and spend it on an overseas location. According to airlines, the holiday travel period is more or less 17 days overlapping the two holidays by about five or six days. Airline tickets during this days are quite expensive and almost sold out. For people who are planning to have a Christmas and New Year’s escapade, it’s important to book your ticket in advance.
Summer vacation. Aside from airfare tickets, everything is expensive during this season including amenities, accommodations, and even restaurants took advantage of the vast number of travelers. The summer travel’s peak is usually from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Even the Fourth of July is affected by expensive airfares. If you can just schedule your trip from mid-September to May, then you’ll get to pay less than you would when traveling over the summer period.
Well don’t lose your hope. There are still destinations that are exempted to price hikes such as US mountain towns, some parts of Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean and even Australia and New Zealand.
Thanksgiving. Haven’t you noticed that Thanksgiving holiday always falls on the fourth Thursday of November? This makes Wednesday until Sunday the busiest travel time of the year. Thanksgiving is like a second Christmas Eve for Americans where some members of the family can show up and has an excuse to be absent on December.
Surprisingly, flying on the Thanksgiving Day itself typically offers the most affordable possible fares and even the day after is often reasonably priced.Which also applies during big holidays like Christmas and New Year’s. However, flying at the exact same day of the occasion might be stressful.
Bottom line: We’re all excited to engage in a vacation with friends or family. But as an employed adult, we cannot just leave our job and book a ticket to Paris tomorrow. Therefore, we took advantage of national holidays to plan our most awaited vacation. However, we realized that the cost of the flight and the hassle of travelling with many people is not really our idea of a relaxing vacation.
It would be advisable if you plan your vacation 2 weeks before a big even where the airfare is relatively cheap and you can enjoy the Waikiki beach at peace. You can save a lot of money and you can truly unwind.
