Packing Medical Kit on a Travel

Medical Kit is the least important thing that comes into our mind when we pack our things on a trip. Accidents are everywhere, so we need to consider bringing a kit with us for emergency purposes.

Consider the First-Aid Basics

1.       Incorporate sufficient number of wound-care products. Add variety sizes of bandages, gauze pads, tapes, cottons and travel size receptacles for peroxide and alcohols.

2.       Incorporate any equipment that may be needed like small scissors for cutting tapes or bandages.
3.       Incorporate creams or ointments for all situations. Bring ointments for infections, for relieving itching and for reducing inflammations and soothing minor burns.

4.       Store relief aids that can cure minor conditions. Incorporate pain relief medications that may help any minor conditions on a travel.

5.       Bring digestive aids, anti-nausea, laxatives and others that may relieve diarrhea. You may also consider bringing anti allergies and medications for sinus problems. Do not forget throat lozenges too.

6.       Incorporate primary emergency stuff for emergency needs such as bandage wraps, disposable cold packs for muscle aches or injuries.

7.       Consider bringing anti-malaria/dengue medications, anti-fungal, face masks and tablets for water purification.

8.       If you are travelling internationally, try visiting Centers for Disease Control or World Health Organizations websites to view their recommendations.

Personalize

1.       Consider the health of your family members. Incorporate stuff that are usual for the members of your family. Always bring medications that your family always has when they suffer from an illness.

2.       Make sure to incorporate sufficient medication for each members of the family who suffers from chronic medical conditions. You may also replace the usual medication when you accidentally lost the medicines during a travel.

3.       Inform your doctor about your plans on a travel and request for further prescription as an alternative medication before you leave. And if needed, you may also request for an additional prescription for you to carry during a travel.

4.       Isolate different doses. This will ensure that your medications are not misplaced during your travel.

Remember to Bring Extras

1.       Bring an additional pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses. Consider the solution as well.
2.       Make sure to bring additional birth control pills or devices. Ask your physician for an advice or ask for an additional prescription if are into birth control pills. Do not forget to bring them for your safety. It is better to be safe than sorry.
